Our eco-sustainability project takes a pragmatic approach to educate the community on the benefits of ecology, urban agriculture, and environmental sustainability.
Nation Station’s urban garden doesn’t only supply our community kitchen with fresh herbs and vegetables, but also serves as a proof-of-concept. Community members can see first-hand the benefits of creating green spaces, and are encouraged to get informed and involved.
Apart from the urban garden, Nation Station has also installed recycling containers, encouraging the residents of the neighborhood to separate their trash. In order to demonstrate the benefits of such sustainable practices, benches made from recyclable plastic granulate have been installed, which now accomodate visitors of the weekly events.
